Representatives from several Ukrainian nationalist organizations on Saturday removed a Russian flag from the Kyiv office building of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) and burned it down.
Pictures and video footage from the scene appeared on S14’s Facebook page.
“S14, PS (Right Sector), Tradition and Order, and other nationalist organizations have come to Rossotrudnichestvo. They found interesting ‘souvenirs.’ … The action is over. One ‘souvenir’ has been destroyed,” the nationalists said of their actions.
Kyiv police told Interfax-Ukraine earlier on Saturday that it had received a report this afternoon that around 20 people entered Rossotrudnichestvo’s office building and later burned down a Russian flag.
